Phoenix Theatre Co
Formerly the Moulsham Lodge Amateur Dramatic Society “MLADS”, Phoenix was created after a fire on the stage at our former home, Moulsham Lodge Community Centre, in October 1997. Despite this when was refurbishment was completed we carried on producing plays there until unfortunately the Community Centre closed in August 2005. Since then we have been meeting in Melbourne Avenue for our regular meetings and now perform our productions at the church hall within Christ Church, New London Road, Chelmsford. In addition to producing plays we also perform Murder Mysteries for other groups at their venues. We are a friendly group for all ages and anyone interested in joining our company, coming to see our productions or enquiring about a Murder Mystery performance for your group should contact us through our website.

It is our aim to provide help and support to people living with diabetes in the Mid Essex area. We do this primarily through group meetings, designed with the express purpose of providing individuals with a safe, social forum to discuss diabetes and its effects.
When and where we can, we also try to raise money to promote awareness of diabetes and generally contribute in any way we can. Whether you have been diagnosed yourself or if you are simply an individual with a desire for knowledge and an inclination to take part, we welcome you to our group.

U3A Essex Association
A U3A (University of the Third Age) is a group of retired people who learn and have fun together – there are no qualifications offered and the learning is done purely for pleasure.
We organise and run Events such as Quizzes (held at Christ Church, Chelmsford) and Study Days, and hold Association meetings in Chelmsford in May and November each year. Recently we put on our first Webmasters' Forum and are planning to hold more.
Our objectives are to advance education for the Association members and also provide social interaction between them . We aim to encourage joint leisure activities by facilitating cooperation between U3As, and to promote, inform, help and equip the Essex Association U3A members.
